The open-air theatre in the heart of Baden-Württemberg is one of the most beautiful summer highlights in the Hohenlohe region and is a real cultural flagship for the city and the whole of Germany. In 2026, the big festival summer will run between 11 June and 6 September: the big evenings will take place on the steps in front of the main church of St. Michael, while there will also be additional performances in the New Globe Theatre.
The New Globe Theatre is a modern, multi-storey circular building modelled on the theatre of the same name in London. It is always close to the action and boasts excellent sightlines and around 371 seats. It is considered a weatherproof alternative to the large open-air stage on the main stage in front of St Michael's, as it is a rainproof and temperature-controlled building. This design is particularly appreciated by those who like to sit in the centre of the action, as it is compact, concentrated and lively.
Who will play Jedermann in Schwäbisch Hall?
Jedermann is one of the theatre classics par excellence. In Hofmannsthal's traditional stage play, the eponymous Jedermann meets death and is let down by his money as well as his friends and entourage during this event. For the 100th Freilichtspiele 2025, actor Tobias Licht played the title role of Jedermann. The bistro, which was completely redesigned in 2016, is located between the Eisenbahn restaurant and the Roter Salon.
The new parquet floor, the quiet sound system in the background and the black and white pictures on the walls create a French flair.

Our Eisenbahn restaurant has been one of the best in Germany for years.
We have been recognised by the Michelin Guide (1 star) and Gault Millau (17 points), among others. The wine cellar at Wolf is recognised by connoisseurs as a true treasure trove to perfectly round off the culinary delights. Regional wines as well as top wines of European and overseas origin are stored here, well protected and cared for.

The original ballroom, which has been preserved since 1906, still has the historic wooden floor from back then. This parquet is constantly cleaned, sanded and maintained with great effort so that your wedding celebration can also do justice to the guests who love to dance.
